Step 01
Source measurements
Preserve the reported material, measurement, assay conditions and source references, including conflicting and no-effect findings.
Aurentis Science LLP
Aurentis Science is developing a discovery platform that connects existing measurements across disciplines to identify commercially meaningful new uses, formulations and combinations for natural-source ingredients.
Our initial focus is cosmetic ingredient manufacturers exploring additional applications for existing portfolios and opportunities for new active development.
Discuss an ingredient opportunityThe context
A measurement reported for one research purpose may become relevant to a different ingredient application when connected with findings from other disciplines. Aurentis is developing an approach to establish those connections, examine what existing research already teaches, and define the experiments needed to evaluate their commercial potential.
Our approach
The platform is under development. These stages describe the intended approach to investigating a proposed connection; literature provides starting evidence and experiments are needed to evaluate a new application.
Step 01
Preserve the reported material, measurement, assay conditions and source references, including conflicting and no-effect findings.
Step 02
Investigate how findings from different scientific fields could support a specific ingredient application. Distinguish direct evidence from the inference connecting it.
Step 03
Examine whether the proposed use, formulation or combination is already described, suggested or claimed. Assess the material requirements and commercial relevance.
Step 04
Define experiments that test the proposed new application against relevant controls and benchmarks, with clear criteria for advancing or stopping development.
Research collaborations
The platform is under development. We welcome discussions about individually scoped research collaborations for a particular ingredient, natural source or application.
Tell us the ingredient, natural source or application you want to explore. Candidate efficacy requires experimental validation; any proposed work is scoped around the question, available evidence and validation needs.
